stuff
1.
I started 2 weeks of my uni life as a 2nd year student, and boy was it a hectic 2 weeks. Tonnes of things coming straight at us. Things like time table confusion, showcase managing, faculty orientation for the juniors, assignments bla bla bla..

I`m currently living in pj(ss2) now because it`s nearby my university and it saves time from travelling. I`m starting to hate wai sek kai`s food already.. Almost EVERYDAY i eat there.. =.='' and PJ is such an expansive place to live in!!! Just the other day i ordered a plate of wan tan mee. The portion was just as big as a colonel burger at KFC and it cost RM4!!! My skies!! and milo peng costs RM2!!!!!! ya ampun!!!!!!!! so expansive wei!!! where were the days where wan tan mee used to cost RM2.50 and you get satisfying portion, and milo peng cost only RM1.10.... sigh... added on to that, i`m starting to miss home food everyday.. lol..
plus, the parking at KLCC went up.. my gosh.. 1st hour is RM4.. Just the other day i went to klcc intending to buy MPO concert tickets, i went to MPO box office and found out that single tickets were not on sale. So i went off from klcc immediately(which was like 15 minutes after parking my car). I went to pay my parking ticket, and i got the shock of my life when it showed how much it is... RM4 for 15 minutes of parking!!!! YA AMPUN!!!!! 我的天!!!!!!! wah lau.. petrol price go up, parking price also have to go up?!?! sighs...

I just got a call from Rachel(MPO encounter programme admin staff) and she confirmed who my tutor will be(Paul Philbert!!! wooootttzzzzz!!!!) but it`ll only be timpani classes and not percussion as a whole(meaning marimba, xylophone, snare drum, timpani, glockenspiel and so on) because Paul Philbert only majors in timpani, which is after much thought good because i`m already having private marimba classes from Cheng Kok(National Symphony Orchestra percussionist) and to top it all, he just agreed today to also help me on my snare drum.

i can only start classes with Paul Philbert after august because the MPO is on vacation and Paul is back to UK.. sadnessnyer!!! all my classmates all having tutor classes, and i`m the only one haven`t started yet. crapness.... oh wells.. no harm waiting also.. one less class to worry FOR NOW.. =p

My marimba teacher adviced me about having classes with Paul Philbert. He says that i have to prepare really well. Meaning, instead of the tutor telling me what to play, i have to go find my own piece, know the piece, listen to recordings of it, and prepare well for it. scary~~~ die... need to go find for pieces to play already!! =s wonder whether he`ll accept a beginner`s piece? since i`m going in as a "beginner".. lolx.. =p come to think of it, i really am a beginner in timpani. lol! i only started to learn the instrument like beginning this year. haha.. Su Yin says i don`t look like a timpanist when i play it. Lol!!

Got a new marimba piece today! after 1 month+ of playing bach`s cello suite no.1 prelude, i`ll be changing song to "Yellow After Rain"... the piece my old tutor(Small Gan Kien Tiong) played for his recital.. :) can`t wait to try the piece out! :D
