Updates :)
After a few tiring weeks, here are some updates :)
1. Glad that the senior`s graduation recital is over :) also glad to receive some good news during the recital.. ;)
congratulations to Hao Tian, Clara, Rui Yi, Doris, Jessica, Wei Nee, Carmen, Cynthia and Shirley for making it as a recitalist! :) all the best in the year to come for your preparation! :D
2. Glad that exams are over (well at least all the major ones.. and i`ve finished my theory take home exam too!! woootz).. more time for me to focus on my practices..
3. From 30th May till 7th June, I will be away for the MPYO camp and also will be performing with them at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas Hall, KLCC on june 7th for their concert.. They needed a percussionist last minute because one of theirs couldn`t make it.. so i had to fill in.. oh well.. good experience for me too performing in an orchestra (Especially one for youths that is quite notable in Malaysia). Have lots to learn! Lots to practice!! quite scared... but quite excited too! :)
4. On June 25th, I`ll be performing at Chinese Assembly Hall, KL, with the Dithyrambic Singers. It will be a chinese concert AND of course, songs sung will be in chinese (Good luck to me on that! :S)
5. On June 26th, I, along with a bunch of percussionist under the tutelage of Mr. Paul Philbert of the MPO (Encounter Programme) will be going to Bangi to perform for an outreach programme. Paul has gathered us together and formed a percussion ensemble where we play songs using percussion (DUH!). The outreach programme will be for kids who will be having some kind of camp there (Correct me if i`m wrong on this.. lol..) so we`ll be going there to perform, and also teach them (The Kids) about music, percussion, simple rhythmic patterns and so on :)
6. I had an interview at Sri Cempaka International School yesterday (24th April 2009) for a music teacher position. The school is one of the very few schools that focuses on Music Programmes. The school needed a few music teachers to teach the kids there (primary level) about music and all sorts to do with music while the permanent teachers prepare for the upcoming musical concert of theirs. So far they haven`t gave anything official yet, but from word of mouth from them on the day of interview, apparently I got the job. So.. wish me luck! Teaching kids wei.. lolx :)
7. oh, I got chosen to be a recitalist too! :D

CONGRATS!!!! You idiot you, the number 7 thing should have been the FIRST thing you put! Recitalist wei!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooot!
